Nanny (mom's mom) went home to be with the Lord this evening. It was an unexpected shock. She will be greatly missed. If you were not acquainted with her, you really missed out. Mom has decided to keep her surgery appointment. If she canceled she would have to wait another month before they could get her in. We have had a very hard day at the hospital. Mom and Wendell are currently driving to Nashville. Please keep mom in your prayers. She's a trooper and I know God will give her grace for what she's facing. I'll update her blog tomorrow night post surgery.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers.
I am so sorry about your nanny. I talked with Wendell for over an hour last night as they drove to Nashville. Our Lord has given so much grace in the last day or so and I thank him for that.
Of course as you know we have been praying for you all but, i just wanted to write a little something about you precious family.
A little over two and a half years ago my little girl Sarah was having the second eye surgery @ Vanderbilt and the morning we pulled out early for nashville bro Wendell called and said "go by the post office in Harrison, you have a package down there." So as we went on our way we stopped and sure enough there was a huge box and we opened the box right there in the parking lot of the post office. Sister Debbie had sent Sarah and Aaron a huge box of all kinds of toy and games and gadgets to keep the busy on the ride up.
Well you guessed it, about half way to Nashville there was a terrible wreck that shut down the entire freeway.....over 2 hours at a stand still and VERY late for the surgery.
You just dont know how much we appreciate the thoughtfulness and giving sister Debbie meant to us that day. Debbie's little care package, turned an awful day into a tolerable day through her genuine concern.
You have a wonderful family and we are praying for yall on this difficult situation.
bro tim and family
Been praying for your family. So many things coming all at once, but God is good. Love ya'll.
Oh Steph, I am so sorry about your grandmother!! And so sorry for the extra load of heaviness your mom must be carrying the day of her surgery. May the Lord God Almighty strengthen and comfort you all for the days ahead. He knows the path you take!!!
Hey Steph...I was checking out punky's facebook and came across a link to your blogs. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. I know from experience its hard to lose someone. Whether its your grandparent or your father in my case. But I think as Christians we grieve differently. I know in my case it was extremely hard to know my dad was gone forever but there's always that thought in the back of your mind about where they are. And you know what your grandma and my dad dont even think about us down here. lol Their living it up right now in heaven! I'm going to call Wendell tomorrow to check on your mom...I had no idea she was in the hospital. Well you and your family are definately in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!
