7 Years and Counting

This past Sunday, Michael and I had our 7th wedding anniversary.

To celebrate on Friday, We dropped the girls with my camping parents and spent the day in Pigeon Forge.   We've only left the girls one other time so this was a huge treat!  We had the best day.  We ate lunch at Paula Deens, did lots of shopping, and watched a show at the Comedy Barn.

I'm so thankful that we have a sweet marriage with lots of sweet memories.

Fourth of July 2015

The fourth ended up being a rainy day. So all of our plans for during the day were canceled. Thankfully it cleared up and we were able to go watch fireworks that night.

Kate is 9 Months Old!!!

Kate Alaina, You are 9 months old!!!!!  This has been an exciting month with huge growth for you!

You have took off with baby food now.  You have tried Momma's carrots, broccoli, green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes.  You've also had some store bought baby food: pears, peaches, apples, cereal, carrots, sweet potatoes, and lots and lots of prunes.

You are now nursing just three times a day.  You've been trying to drink a little juice out of a sippy cup but you haven't quite figured that out yet.

We can finally see some teeth coming through.  You have two on the top.

Blurry picture but this is your classic Kate face with lots of crazy sniffing and snorting!

You are scooting all over the house.  And you are as close to crawling as you can get without actually crawling.  You will get on all fours and rock.  You have no trouble going from your belly to sitting position.  You are a pro at sitting up now!

You are trying to pull up now but you haven't been able to yet.

You are sleeping through the night now.  Woohoo!  Mom finally took a stand and when you woke up midnight was going to let you cry for 15 minutes before she comforted you.  You didn't even make it through the full 15 before you were back asleep.  You were probably ready for this MONTHS ago but mom was babying you!

Most days you take a morning and afternoon nap. You wake up around 7AM and go to bed at 7PM.

You are wearing size 2 shoes (although they are getting snug), you are wearing a few 12 month clothes but mostly 18 months now.  You are still in a size 3 diaper.

You've had some problems with constipation this month. (You will love me one day for putting that on the world wide web).  Momma has been feeding you prunes at least once a day and trying a little bit of apple juice.  I think we have it figured out to give you some relief.

Happy nine months, sweet girl.  We love you!

Its been awhile....

Hi, there.  My name is Stephanie and I'm a horrible blogger!  After both laptops dying a slow and painful death we finally have a new laptop.  I'm excited to get back to blogging our life. And since all post are boring without pictures I'll throw some recent random ones into this one.

Sometime during the course of the computer viruses I left my cameras SD card in one of the laptops.  It corrupted the picture files that were on it.  I didn't even know that was possible!  I'm going to work to see if I can recover them.  If not, I've lost Mother's Day 2015, which makes me a lot sad.

Life is charging ahead.  Kate will turned 9 months and Kendall will turn 2 1/2 this month.  I plan on doing them each a post updating their stats.  Both are growing like weeds and learning all kinds of new "tricks".

Would it make sense to say that life is extremely busy while at the same time extremely slow?  Don't get me wrong.  I am LOVING this stage with my girls.  I stay so busy during the day but yet some days feel like the same thing over and over and over again without making any progress.  Would I trade it for anything? No!  But at the same time I'm trying to be honest.  Thankfully every few days we have a change in routine and get out of the house or we would go crazy.  Any time I get discontent I'm able to look around and see how very blessed we are.  In those moments I have to pause and thank God.  It's great to be able to be at home with my girls and enjoy seeing their every milestone.

Sooo...I just wanted to post and say that we are still alive and well.   And hopefully you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the coming days.
