Becoming Home

Things have been busy at the new house.  We have had lots of help and have made lots of progress.  We still have a ways to go but we're getting there.

The green floor by the front door....GONE!  (Thanks Steve)

See the Yuck Carpet......GONE!  (Thanks Michael and His Dad)

Next up is the pee corner.  Seriously, take Fido outside!

It has been changed to this...

To this...And hopefully to a lovely painted corner real soon!

These lovely duckies were swimming around the top of the master bathroom.  They didn't want to come down!  I really feel attached to them and have thought about doing the whole framed-pink-bunny-in-Jessie's-room-on-Full-House-thing.

Thankfully the seed packages weren't rooted as deep.

I don't have pictures of the painted ceilings and closets.  But Wendell totally knocked those out along with mowing the jungle yard.

I hope these pictures haven't made it look like a dump.  It will be very nice after we get all the cosmetic work finished.  It doesn't feel like home yet....more like a demolition zone.

Oh yeah....the best part of the house?

Yep...that's Jesus waiting on the porch.  Ok. Totally inappropriate but don't say it doesn't make you smile a little.

All joking aside.  I'm so thankful the Lord has allowed us to buy this house.  I've had such a peace about it.  And can't wait to make it home.

Look for more updates coming soon!

Border comes down easily after you spray it with water. Joy had some in her new kitchen and after we sprayed, brown water streaked down cause the previous owners smoked....yuck!
Can't wait to see the finish!

Oh Mrs.Peggy...Joy must not have had ducky border! All the other borders did great with sprayed water. The ducks just must have liked that bathroom. We have bunches of brown streaks on our walls too! So Yuck!

Congratulations on your new home! It's always so fun and exciting when you start fixing it up to really be yours! I am so happy for you both. Where is it located? Are you still in Harriman?
