Weekend Recap

No quick pics this week.  After taking Kendall's six month photos, I left my big camera laying out. So I actually picked it up and took several pictures several different times over the weekend.   I should leave it laying out all the time!
We had a great weekend!  It wasn't so crazy busy and we got to enjoy our family at a slower pace.  Friday, Kendall had her 6 month appointment.  (BTW she weighs 16 lbs 7.5 oz (50%), and is 26 1/2 inches tall (75%).) Michael came home from working all night and slept 2 hours then went to the appointment with us.   It was a "shots" appointment so I was glad he was able to go for my sake.  I was also able to run in a few stores while in Knoxville.  We have family pictures coming up and I'm starting to stress about coordinating outfits.  Glad that's the worse of my problems :)  Then we ate lunch on the road.  That evening Michael's parents were able to come up and visit.  We had a good visit.  We drove to Crossville for supper which was probably wasn't the best choice.   When you factor in a sleepy hungry baby, carsickness, and an almost ticket that part of the trip was less than perfect.
Kendall loves visiting with her grandparents.  I told Michael we better have another baby pronto to spread the spoiling a little.

Saturday, Our lil family of 3 had a lazy morning around the house and then headed out after lunchtime.  We drove to Crossville again, but this time to look at the highway 127 yard sale.  Kendall scored a few hair bows but other than that we just enjoyed each other's company.
Yesterday was spent mostly at church.  We had a good day and enjoyed some fellowship.
That sums up our weekend.   It was simple but great at the same time.  I love family weekends the best!

Swimming with the Moizes

***Go down to check out Kendall's 6 Month Post.  I didn't post it until late yesterday.  I also created a new tab at the top of the blog for her monthly posts.***

Back in June, we were thrilled to be able to spend time with our friends the Moizes.  They don't live in our area but have family that do.  So they stayed with family and the kids attended our Vacation Bible School.  We planned a big swimming trip at my moms and thankfully the weather turned out good on Friday and we got to go.  We had so much fun, and Kendall loves the Moize kids...especially Tucker :).
Kendall and Carley

Wendell enjoyed having kids around that would let him throw them in the pool.  It was a little breath taking to watch to say the least.  : /

After swimming, my papaw stopped by (the cutest Papaw in the whole world!)   He wanted to give the kids a half dollar.  So we ran out to his house.  Here they are sorting through them to find a year that is significant to their lives (mom's birthday, wedding, etc.)

Told you he was cute.  :)

We were sad Michael ended up sick and we didn't get to see them at Camping Meeting in July but we are already looking forward to next year :).

Kendall is Six Months!

Kendall Paige, You are six months old, that’s half a year!  Time flies when you are having fun.

You have your six month appointment on Friday.   I’ll update your weight and height stats after that.
    Update-Weight was 16 lbs 7.5 oz (50%), Length was 26 1/2 inches (75%), and head circumference was 17 1/2 (90%).

Daddy says you are a motor mouth.  You like to hear yourself, especially during church.  You are especially good at hollering!

You have become so curious the last few weeks.  You have to reach for everything, and you really like seeing what things taste like too.

You are still nursing but have started  baby food this month.  Besides your cereal and oatmeal, Momma has been making your baby food.  So far you’ve had carrots, avocado, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, and banana.  You are a great eater now!

Tuesday Night Momma discovered your first tooth coming through.

This month you figured out how to roll from your back to your belly.  You’ve decided naps are best on your belly.

You are still on a four hour schedule. You eat and stay up for 2 hours, and then you sleep for 2 hours. You typically have 2 good 2 hour naps. Then your last evening nap is around 45 minutes.

You have also found your feet!

You are wearing size two diapers and mostly 12 month clothes.
If Momma holds you on one side of the living room, you stare down Dad.  If Dad is holding you, you stare down mom.  You are a silly girl.

You love to suck on two of your fingers.  And to think Momma was afraid you’d be a thumb sucker.

Each month with you keeps getting better and better!

My Little Fish

Back in June we spent a couple of nights camping with my family in Townsend.  We had a great time.  We also introduced lil Kendall to the swimming pool.  The first time aunt Kiah got in with her.  Later in the week I did.  She's been swimming several times since then.  She's a pretty chill swimmer, but I guess I shouldn't expect any less.  :)  Hopefully by the end of summer, she'll think swimming is fun!

This really isn't a bikini.  I should have bought the next size up.  :)

Hooray for posts 2 days in a roll!

Quick Pics

Wow, has it really been 2 weeks since I posted on here. I'd love to tell you that we've been gone on an exotic vacation, but we've really just been busy living life here at home.   We had a week of revival at church, which was my excuse for the first week.  The second week...well...I just got lazy.    My goal is to publish at least 4  new posts this week, including Kendall's 6 month post, wow she's getting big!

So let's kick this week off with cell phone pics from the past 3 weeks and little updates while we go along.

These are in no certain order.  They are majorly jumbled!

While getting ready one day, I stumbled across my collection of bows that I wore when I was like 13.  I have been saving these for awhile...I just know they'll be in style again one day.  I love these things!

Some little girl has found her feet.  Too cute...well actually it was super cute the first few days.  Now with all the toe sucking, I'm worried she has a fetish.  Yuck!

Fire works night, a week after the fourth.  Kendall with my best friend Jec.

A Sunday Morning, I love a good monogrammed dress!

Chillin one day at home.

Close up of her Nike's.

After an afternoon walk.  She was tuckered.  This was also her first time using the stroller without her carseat.

That's it.  Hopefully I'll be around a lot this week.  Stop back by!

5 Years and Loving Every Moment

Today we celebrate 5 years of marriage.  I am glad to say that it is a celebration for us and we have no regrets.  What God puts together, he does well.  He has been in every aspect of marriage, from meeting to where we are now.  I am daily treated like a princess and quite spoiled...but I love it!  :)

We have sooooo many great memories...

The last five years have been the best years of my life.  I can't wait for the next five!
