Easter 2016

Two posts in one week? I'm on a roll!

Good Friday we traveled down to McDonald to spend time with the Jones side of the family.  I didn't remember my camera so I only have cell pictures.

It was a beautiful day so the kids had a big time playing outside.

Easter Sunday some of our family came over in between church services for lunch.

And of course we spent the morning and evening at church.  So glad we celebrate a risen savoir.

Our weekend

We had a fun family and faith weekend.

Meme and Pop were spending a long weekend in Pigeon Forge so late Friday morning we decided to crash their party.  It was a totally spontaneous decision but a lot of fun.

We started off with a yummy meal at the Old Mill Restaurant.  Then headed on to a kiddie ride area.  These are all cell phone pictures so they are not the best quality.

You may have noticed a common look on Kate's face...somewhere between misery and don't care.

Other than the kiddie rides and slide she had a good time.

After our fill of kiddie rides and go carts, we moved on to the Alpine coaster.  It was pretty crowded so Pop and Kendall were the only ones to brave the wait.   And it was well worth it from her point view.

After some outlet shopping, and supper we headed home.

Saturday we worked around the house; plowing the garden, mowing, cleaning, playing, grocery shopping, etc.  I'll let you guess who was doing what...haha.

Kendall came and got me at one point because she wanted me to take her picture outside.

Red bow/ pink coat...who cares.

And then Sunday was spent at church.
And on the couch playing on the ipad waiting to leave for church...I felt like I should explain the girls are not playing the Ipad at church.

It was a good weekend.  Easter pics up next...

Kendall Quotes

I need to do a better job documenting all the funny things Kendall says on a daily basis.  Here some of my favorite ones from recently:
  • I had got her ready for bed one evening but she still needed to hug and kiss daddy, who was outside working in his shop.  We opened the back door and I started to holler at him.  "No" she said, "I whistle with my fingers."  She proceeded to put her fingers in her mouth and make a loud screeching sound until Michael heard and come out.
  • It was last day.  (yesterday)
  •  Michael: "Oh no, you have ink on your finger.  We'll have to cut your hand off."
Kendall: "No, cause then I can't hold hands when we walk
across the road and I get hit by a car."

  • "Dadda, I just texted someone on your phone."
  •  "Ive got to work on my church stuff."  (Michael spends a lot of time working on church treasury stuff).
  • After a long discussion with her dad over which is better: Walmart or Krogers..."Dadda, why you not obey me?"  (Michael is pro Krogers...Kendall loves her some Walmart.  This argument can get very intense, haha).

Christmas Time is Here...Or not.

I feel like by the time that March rolls around, and you haven't blogged about Christmas it's too late. It's proper blog etiquette to let it go. You missed your window. No one wants to see your Christmas pictures in March.

But I obviously one who doesn't follow proper etiquette because here's our Christmas pictures.  And considering I didn't take very many pictures, it shouldn't be too painful for you.

 Christmas at the Jones' House

We were also at my mom's house on Christmas but I didn't take any pictures, sorry MeMe.

If you made it to the end, thanks!  I couldn't stand not to share my sweet babies faces.

3 Things

Update time

Kendall
1.   Kendall turned three at the end of January.
2.  She is talking nonstop.  And cracks us up daily.
3.  She is starting to show more genuine concern and care for Kate.  It's fun to see that love developing for her sister.

Kate
1.  Poor Kate Kate had a hard week last week.  She hardly slept and ate and ran a temp with cold symptoms.  Thankfully, we seem past that now.
2.  She has six teeth coming in at once.
3.  Like her big sister she loves books and being read to.  She is able to pay attention to them longer than Kendall was at this age.

Michael
1.  He is the best dad.  He constantly is playing and helping with the girls whenever he is home.  Right now he is sitting on the couch reading to Kendall.
2.  He's a pretty swell husband, also.

Stephanie

1.  I am so far behind on blogging.  The end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 was crazy and busy.  Now things are eerily calm and relaxed (as calm and relaxed as things can be with two toddlers).  I'm enjoying the quiet for the time being.  And who knows maybe I'll even catch up on blogging.
2.  My days are very routine and structured...it's the whole two toddler thing again.  I love our little life.  In full disclosure, I do go a little stir crazy when stuck in the house for a week with a sick baby.  Just saying.
3.  I've started a new bible study on I Corinthians 13 (the love chapter).  By the end of the four paragraph introduction I was already so convicted.  I'm praying God will use it to change me.  Maybe this can be one of those great blog posts you will be anticipating.
